Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry offers a sparkling smile makeover. It provides solutions to various dental issues like discolored, stained, chipped, broken, or misaligned teeth. Here are some of the common cosmetic dental procedures that can bring a positive change to your smile.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the simplest and most popular cosmetic dental procedures to improve your smile. The dentist performs the procedure either in-office or provides take-home whitening kits. We will remove tartar, plaque, and other debris from the teeth' surface and whiten the teeth using a bleaching agent to achieve a uniform, lighter shade.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the artificial tooth roots inserted into the jawbone socket of the missing tooth. The metal implant stud will be combined with a ceramic tooth crown, which acts as the replacement tooth. Together, implants restore oral functionality and aesthetics as well.

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are customized, thin surface applicants made from tooth-colored resin or ceramic and cover the teeth' front surface. Dentists first remove a thin layer of enamel from the tooth surface and bond veneers to the front of the teeth. Dental veneers are used to restore the color, size, shape, and length of the teeth. They offer solutions to various cosmetic issues, like damaged enamel, crooked and cracked teeth, chipped front teeth, and excessive gaps between two teeth.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a cap that fits over a damaged or decayed tooth above the gum line. It restores the shape, strength, size, and overall appearance of the teeth. Metal, porcelain fused to metal, ceramic, or resin material are used to fabricate dental crowns. They are known to provide a long lifespan, excellent durability, and strengthen the teeth.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding involves the application of a tooth-colored durable and moldable composite resin material to the teeth. It is hardened with a suitable curing light. The dentist then sculpts, trims, and polishes the tooth for a better appearance. Dental bonding repairs damaged, decayed, stained, or discolored teeth.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are alternatives for fillings and dental crowns, respectively, and are used to restore decayed or damaged teeth. An inlay is a custom-fabricated restoration that will be placed in a cavity and bonded using dental adhesives by the dentist. Onlays are 'half-crowns' as they restore only the upper biting surface or cusp of the tooth. Both these restorations are tooth-colored, keeping them indistinguishable from the adjoining natural enamel.
